The Inflation No One Talks About: Higher Education’s Price Tag and Moral Bankruptcy
Inflation hurts hardworking Americans, yet there’s one inflated cost Democrats never seem to scream about—college tuition. Over the past 40 years, tuition prices have skyrocketed at a rate far outpacing general inflation, yet the return on investment has plummeted. Universities charge Mercedes prices for a Yugo education, producing graduates steeped in ideological dogma rather than critical thinking and real-world skills.
If colleges were car manufacturers, they’d be sued for fraud. Instead, they rake in billions in taxpayer-funded subsidies while delivering a product that leaves graduates drowning in debt and unprepared for the workforce. Where is the outrage? Where are the congressional hearings? Instead of holding universities accountable for price gouging and educational decline, the political Left champions student loan bailouts, ensuring universities continue their racket while taxpayers foot the bill.
But the crisis in higher education is not just economic—it’s a moral one. The same institutions that pride themselves on “inclusion” and “diversity” have become breeding grounds for rampant antisemitism. Elite universities, which once claimed to stand against hate, now make excuses for mobs openly calling for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews. Imagine if those same chants were directed at any other group—there would be national outrage. Instead, administrators cower, faculty enable, and politicians look the other way.
Higher education is failing on two fronts: it no longer educates, and it no longer upholds even the most basic moral standards. Yet, Democrats won’t touch the issue because universities serve as their ideological training grounds, churning out activists instead of thinkers. The American taxpayer is subsidizing both economic waste and moral decay.
It’s time for real accountability. Universities should face the same scrutiny as any other industry engaged in price gouging and fraudulent advertising. And if an institution tolerates open calls for genocide, it should forfeit every last cent of federal funding. If higher education won’t reform itself, then it’s time to defund failure.
